Ingredients

  • 4 slices sturdy, grainy wheat bread
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red pear
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 slices Muenster cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat a griddle or panini press over medium-high heat.
  2. Build 2 sandwiches by layering each with bread, 1 1/2 tablespoons preserves, pear slices, 4 slices bacon, 2 slices cheese, and the remaining bread.
Cooking
  1. Coat the top and bottom of each sandwich with butter, then grill for 4-8 minutes until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.

Notes

The bacon slices used were small and thin, so 4 slices per sandwich were added. If using regular-sized bacon slices, 2 slices per sandwich may be sufficient.
