Dough Ingredients
  • 2 ripe bananas Use soft, spotted bananas for best results.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Measure flour by spooning into the cup and leveling.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
Filling Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon For filling.
  • 1 sliced bananas Add as needed for filling.
Icing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese Softened.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk Add more if needed for desired consistency.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas and mix with melted butter, milk, and egg.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
Filling
  1. Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Add banana slices evenly over the filling.
  3. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
Baking
  1. Place the rolls on a greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Icing
  1. For icing, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with extra powdered sugar or top with thin banana slices. Suitable for freezing - wrap individual rolls and store in a freezer-safe bag.
