Ingredients
Method
Blueberry Syrup Preparation
- Place the frozen blueberries in a large jar and add the sugar and water. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours or overnight to allow the blueberries to release their juices.
- Stir the blueberry mixture after resting. Add a little more water if a thinner, less sweet syrup is desired.
- For a quicker option, mash the thawed blueberries to release the juices or warm them in the microwave and use the liquid released from the berries to create the blueberry syrup.
Matcha Preparation
- Warm the water in a small jar with a lid. Add the matcha and shake until the mixture is smooth and combined.
Assembly
- Fill a large glass with ice. Pour in the prepared matcha, then add the oat milk. For more distinct layers, pour the oat milk slowly over the back of a spoon.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of blueberry syrup to the glass. Stir before serving to combine the flavors throughout the drink.
Notes
For matcha measurements, use about double the amount recommended on the matcha packaging for a more concentrated flavor. Follow the guidance for your specific matcha and increase the amount if a stronger taste is preferred.
