Ingredients

Fruit Ingredients
  • 2 cups apples (Honeycrisp or Gala, chopped) Choose ripe apples for sweetness.
  • 2 cups pears (ripe, chopped) Ripe pears add great flavor.
  • 1 cup red grapes (seedless, halved) Use seedless grapes for better texture.
  • 1 cup green grapes (seedless, halved) Mix colors for a more appealing salad.
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils (or dried cranberries) Adds color and tartness.
  • 1/2 cup pecans (or walnuts, chopped) Chopped nuts for added crunch.
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds (optional) Optional for extra texture.
Dressing Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan) For sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (or lime juice) Adds brightness to the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (or nutmeg as substitute) Choose your preferred spice.
  • a pinch nutmeg (can be skipped) Optional for additional flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing all your fruits. Chop the apples and pears into bite-sized pieces. Halve the red and green grapes. If using fresh pomegranate, carefully remove the arils from the fruit.
Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. This will be the dressing for the salad.
Assembling the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples, pears, red and green grapes, and pomegranate arils. If desired, add the chopped pecans and pumpkin seeds for crunch.
Chilling
  1. Drizzle the dressing over the fruit mixture and toss gently to coat everything. Cover the bowl and let it chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

Choose ripe fruits for the best flavor. Add a splash of orange juice for extra flavor. Adjust amounts based on preference.
