Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 450 g Italian sausage Remove casing if preferred
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Sauces and Seasonings
  • 425 g jar Alfredo sauce Use store-bought for convenience
  • 425 g jar Marinara sauce A blend of both sauces balances richness
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust for spice preference
Pasta and Cheese
  • 540 g frozen cheese tortellini No need to thaw before cooking
  • 120 g shredded mozzarella cheese For melting
  • to taste dried parsley flakes For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add Italian sausage and chopped onion.
  3. Cook until the sausage is fully browned and the onions are softened, stirring occasionally.
  4. Drain excess fat.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and add minced garlic, Alfredo sauce, Marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Stir thoroughly to combine.
Cooking
  1. Add frozen cheese tortellini to the skillet, mixing to ensure pasta is fully coated in sauce.
  2. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until tortellini is tender.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the mixture.
  4. Transfer skillet to a preheated oven at 200°C for 2–3 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted; alternatively, cover the skillet and let cheese melt on the stove.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and top with dried parsley flakes before serving.
  2. Serve straight from the pan for a rustic presentation.

Notes

This dish is also suitable for meal prep and can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat gently to maintain texture.
