Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in vanilla and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed to combine.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips with a spatula until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, always use fresh ingredients. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
