Preparation of Mint Syrup
- Bring water to a low boil.
- Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Add fresh mint leaves or peppermint extract and steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove mint leaves and store syrup in the refrigerator.
Preparation of Mocha
- Heat milk and chocolate together until melted.
- Add the milk mixture to a glass jar, cap it with a towel, and shake until foamy.
- Pour the milk mixture into a mug and stir in coffee and mint syrup.
- Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
Notes
Store leftover mint syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For best texture, serve drinks immediately while hot. Adjust the amount of mint syrup to taste.
