Ingredients
  

For the Mint Syrup
  • 1.5 cups water Use filtered water for best taste.
  • 1.5 cups sugar Granulated sugar will dissolve easily.
  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves Use fresh mint for a brighter flavor.
For the Mocha
  • 3/4 cup milk Can be substituted with plant-based milk.
  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate bar Chop finely for even melting.
  • 1/2 cup espresso or strongly brewed coffee Use concentrated coffee to avoid diluting the drink.
  • whipped cream Freshly whipped cream is ideal.
  • crushed candy canes Crush finely for even topping distribution.

Method
 

Preparation of Mint Syrup
  1. Bring water to a low boil.
  2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add fresh mint leaves or peppermint extract and steep for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove mint leaves and store syrup in the refrigerator.
Preparation of Mocha
  1. Heat milk and chocolate together until melted.
  2. Add the milk mixture to a glass jar, cap it with a towel, and shake until foamy.
  3. Pour the milk mixture into a mug and stir in coffee and mint syrup.
  4. Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.

Notes

Store leftover mint syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For best texture, serve drinks immediately while hot. Adjust the amount of mint syrup to taste.
