Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped pistachios.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before removing from the pan and slicing.
Notes
Serve slightly warm with butter or honey. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for up to 7 days or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
