  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced Use bananas that are ripe but still firm.
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding mix Instant pudding mix.
  • 2 cups milk Use your preferred type.
  • 1 package yellow cake mix Dry cake mix.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Room temperature melted butter for even drizzling.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Can use light or dark brown sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For added warmth and flavor.
  • Optional whipped cream for serving Great when served warm.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced bananas with the vanilla pudding mix.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth, then pour this mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the banana mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter on top of the cake mix.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly and serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream.

Notes

Cool the cobbler to room temperature before storing. Refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze portions for up to 2 months. Use ripe but firm bananas for best results.
