Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Burgers
  • 14-15 ounces canned salmon Drain and flake well
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1/2 to 2/3 cup panko Adjust based on mixture texture
  • 1 tablespoon lemongrass paste
  • 1 tablespoon red curry paste Adjust to control heat
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • olive oil for frying
For Serving
  • buns and toppings like cilantro or sliced cucumber
  • bagged salad (like an Asian style salad)
  • shredded cabbage

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain the salmon and flake it apart.
  2. Mix the burger ingredients together.
  3. Form into 4 patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the burgers and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve on buns with your choice of toppings, or with a salad or slaw.

Notes

Chill the formed patties for 10–15 minutes before cooking to help them hold together. Adjust the amount of red curry paste to control the heat.
